Parent Involvement
- SCHOOL COUNCIL AND PARENT ADVISORY COUNCIL
We have a Brookside School Council and a Brookside Parent Advisory Council. School councils provide the framework for families, principals, staff and community members to work together to support student achievement and success. Each person who takes the time to be involved in their school council plays a key role in the success of their school community. At Brookside, we believe families are important partners in education and play a valuable role in supporting teaching and learning.
Meetings are generally once a month at 6:30 p.m. Everyone is welcome! Our parent group organizes Casinos and other fundraisers, hot lunch days, and family evenings. All events contribute to making our Brookside family.
- PARENT PARKING PATROL
Our parents help to keep our students safe when parents are dropping off or picking up their children in our designated drop-off/pick-up zone within our parking lot. Parent volunteers are always needed for a morning and/or an afternoon shift.
